This removable appliance features replacement teeth for the four primary anteriors. It is often called a “flipper” because patients tend to play with it, flipping it in and out. This can easily be avoided by creating extra retention with a combination of additional clasps and/or direct bonded buttons as shown in the insert photo. However, patient cooperation is essential when using removable pedo partials. If cooperation is questionable, we recommend using a fixed approach. Note:As with all bridges and partials, opposing models and a bite registration are necessary for proper construction.
