Snor.X

The SNOR.X Anti-Snoring Appliance gently retains the tongue in a forward position during sleep – keeping the airway open and free from obstruction. Particularly useful in the treatment of edentulous patients, SNOR.X consists of two pieces: a tongue sleeve and a plastic ring that is held in place by notches on each side of the sleeve. The patient places their tongue into the sleeve and squeezes the front end of the device to create a gentle suction.

Air vents are sculpted on the upper surface of the appliance to facilitate mouth breathing. An extraoral lip guard prevents retrolapse of the tongue during sleep and the SNOR.X patient can adjust the appliance for custom comfort and effectiveness. NOTE: The SNOR.X can be used as a test appliance or as a training device to evaluate compatibility with the TRD. Just like the TRD, it holds the tongue forward so it can't drop back. The Snor-X is not retained on the teeth in any manner and allows total freedom of movement of the mandible. Construction bite not required.
