This appliance is the same as #4310, but utilizes stainless steel crowns in place of molar bands. The Groper Fixed Anterior Bridge - with crowns U/L is often used when the abutment teeth are partially compromised or when superior strength of the overall appliance is desired. Additional stability can be achieved by adding rests to the lingual wire and then bonding them to the lingual surface of the primary cuspids or first primary molars. This is particularly useful for patients who tend to be tough on their appliances. IMPORTANT: When taking an impression for this appliance, it is best to do so with the crowns in place. Pour the impression with the crowns firmly seated in the impression, Then check the poured-up model for accuracy before sending to the lab. Note: As with all bridges and partials, opposing models and a bite registration are necessary to ensure proper construction.
