We all use appliances intuitively. When a patient needs an implant after losing a tooth, we intuitively know that space maintenance is called for. We know that it is necessary to provide the patient with a means for preserving esthetic integrity. We know how to place a temporary partial. What we don’t always connect with is that there are many different options for replacing that tooth — even on an interim basis.
A flipper is never the only option. There are palate-free appliances, bonded appliances, fixed appliances — or fixed appliances that can be easily removed when access to the surgical site is necessary. It is a lack of familiarity with appliance therapy — this missing link in our knowledge base (in addition to the missing “orthodontics” link) — that often stymies us and intimidates us and prevents us from providing a full menu of dental care options to our patients.
We are (and always have been) committed to being your go-to, practice-building resource… to helping you provide the kind of complete, needs-responsive care that you want to provide your patients. We seek to help you integrate simple game-changing techniques and appliances into your practice. We want to help grow your General or Pediatric practice beyond its presently defined boundaries to new heights of patient care and profitability
