The Acrylic Arch Wire gains superior anterior retention via the use of clear acrylic. The acrylic tightly conforms to the labial and interproximal surfaces of the incisors, prohibiting movement ( particularly rotation) of the incisors. It is often used on “wrap-around” labial wires to stabilize the long wire.
